Where’s the humor?
Thursday, May 8, 2008
You all know the game “Where’s Waldo?”, right? Today we are going to play “Where’s Jen’s Humor?” The rules are simple: We’re going to look around Jenworld and see where my Humor could be hiding. Look carefully, as my Humor appears to be well hidden and I just can’t find it.
Let’s start in the Jenworld Blogging Headquarters. Is my Humor hidden under the stack of old documents I need to shred:
Nope, not there.
Let’s mosey across the hall to the living room.
Is my Humor under the pile of crap on the coffee table:
Nope, not there either.
What about under the pile of vacation photos I’ve tossed on the floor and ignored for days and days:
Not there either.
Hmmm… This is really perplexing. Let’s go upstairs and see if my Humor is up there.
Is my Humor in Graceful’s room, which she has been asked repeatedly to clean:
There’s definitely no Humor hiding in there.
How about next door in Elegant’s room:
Not in there either.
What about in the laundry? Something could hide in there:
Nope not there either.
Well, this is really strange. I can’t find my Humor anywhere. I guess that means I have no Humor to share with you today. So sorry. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Maybe it’s under the pile of dirty clothes in my laundry room. Along with Jimmy Hoffa and a full-grown T. Rex.

Oh honey, those days suck. Tomorrow will be better–heck, maybe after the girls go to bed tonight and you’ve finished the laundry and tidying and work, you’ll get a nice glass of liquor and all will sort itself out for you before you hit the sack yourself.

Plenty of humour, but in a cranky sorta way. I hate when things overwhelm me.Hope you get some stuff done, then you’ll feel better about it all.

I find much comfort in knowing someone elses house looks just like mine! Even more comfort in knowing someone else’s children’s rooms look just like mine! Don’t know who send this but ” A clean house is a sure sign of a misspent life” This just might be my mantra!

I spy an American Girl magazine… at least it’s in your girl’s room. I am staring at it on my family room coffee table, along with Sports Illustrateds, Newsweeks, a lion mask, pencils, erasers, a hot wheel, an ambulance, a letter from Grandma, two DVDs, and three remotes.
Perhaps your humor is having a party in Strawberry Shortcake’s house…

You know, I’ve never been here before, but I just saw you in Linda’(sphere) list and all my favourites have come from there and true to form, she’s done it again!
Your humour seems quite evident to me. I think it’s sitting on the edge of your nose, which is why you can’t find it yourself, BUT the photos you’ve revealed (we have the exact same laundry basket, btw) were too funny and obviously, so are you!
Will be back soon,
Kat
Please stop in at my blog and have a look round to see if there’s anything you like (I am ever hopeful).
P.S. Archives hold some treasures (if I do say so myself).

I am SO relieved to see your daughters’ rooms. My 9-YO has a similar “lasagne” look - layers and layers of stuff all over. I haven’t been able to vacuum in there for over a month.
Did you check the liquor cabinet for your humor?

I see the humor. Right up there. Up there. Above the comment section.

I looked for mine in Precious Youngest’s room. All I found was an adult temper tantrum.

When you say Humor, do you say “you-mur” or “hew-mur”?

Tomorrow is another day. Is that all the laundry you have? Seriously, is it?

So what you’re saying is that your beautifully thought out and executed letter writing campaign to your family didn’t take? Bastards : )
